What do I bring to a swim lesson?
- A properly fitting bathing suit
- Goggles
- Towel
- Non-slip footwear for exiting pool area
***ALL children under the age of three (3) years old who are not potty- trained MUST wear a swim diaper. If possible, please use a reusable diaper, as they have a tighter fit and help reduce the possibility of accidents in the pool. An accident can result in a pool closure lasting as long as 24 hours. Extra disposable diapers and reusable diaper covers are kept on hand and are available for purchase at Turtle Cove Aquatics.
What should I do before a swim lesson?
- Please apply sunscreen half an hour before the lesson. This gives the sunscreen a chance to soak in and work instead of coming off in the water.
- Drink plenty of fluids to prevent dehydration.
- Wear a rash guard to prevent hypothermia if prone to getting cold easily.
- Secure long hair away from the face before getting in the water.
- Wait outside the gate for Katherine upon arrival for best safety practices.
When should I arrive for my lesson?
Lessons begin and end at a very specific time. Please make sure you are on time for optimal transitioning.
